Guiding Philosophy
Our Vision of working together to be life long learners is underpinned by our belief that all children will have the best possible opportunities for learning at Pirongia School.
At Pirongia School, we are focussed on building positive relationships with every student and every staff member. This is essential for the learning partnership we must have for optimal learning to take place in our school for students and teachers.
Our work on the New Zealand Curriculum has focussed us in on the fundamental values and principles and the Key Competencies that guide the way we make decisions in our school, not just for learning, but also for the way we manage behavioural issues in our school. We have high expectations for the way our students interact with their peers and all other students, and staff in the school.
