Interhouse Softball

The clock struck 1 and all the big guns from Tui and Kakapo house turned up to face off in the much anticipated softball final. It was an amazing display of effort and sportsmanship. As a bystander it was hard to contain myself. 

Tui first up to bat, Kakapo was determined to not let them score and was able to ensure the first three batters were out. This didn't deter Tui House, they returned the level of commitment with only letting Kakapo slip home with one safe. Second innings Tui was able to even the score, to 1 all. 

Lots of skills in throwing, catching and batting was shown during this exciting game of softball. The final score Tui 1, Kakapo 1. The teams were declared equal winners, both teams gaining 10 points towards their house overall points. Tomorrow at assembly will be the big reveal of the house points for term 1.
